Smoothies are full of nutrients and goodness
I love making my own smoothies because I know what goes in to them and I can cram in about 5-6 portions of fruit and veggies into one big drink ( think of all those lovely nutrients ) it’s packed with goodness. Just chuck it all into a blender and ta dah.
If I were to to just eat all those fruit and veggies separately, I’d be there all day just eating…not saying that’s a bad thing but I do have other stuff to do.
I have a green smoothie every day, I usually put in 1 Apple, 1 pear, handful of grapes, 1 kiwi, few sprouts ( helps to balance hormones and good stuff) and spinach ( gives me a boost if iron and magnesium, plus lots of other good stuff) I pour in some coconut water ( full of electrolytes) which helps to hydrate the body at a cellular level, plus it’s full of nutrients too. You can use water or fruit juice..which ever you prefer.
After my evening meal some times I love to make a banana and strawberry or raspberry smoothie ( you can use any berries ) Pour in the milk ( which ever you prefer) and whizz it up in the blender…tastes delicious. You can also use frozen berries or freeze your smoothie to make a lovely healthy ice cream, which is so re-freshing especially in summer.
