Selfcare is self love being practiced so it is a must for your health happiness and well-being and not in a ego way – it’s NOT believing you are better than anyone else. It’s NOT about self indulgence or over pampering – or spoiling. Although that’s okay to a certain point.
Self love is a necessity not a luxury
Self love is caring for yourself mind, emotions, body and soul. It’s about caring for your health, happiness and well-being. Being the best you can be not just for you but for those that you love too.
It’s about doing what’s right for you regardless of what anyone else thinks.
Be true to you!
It’s about self respect- respecting yourself when you are tired and need a rest-take a rest.
Listen to your body and mind when you need to rest that is selfcare
When you need some time-out to yourself, because life’s been busy and hectic and your overwhelmed by it all – give yourself some time-out and relax.
When you need to lighten up and have some fun because you’ve been working hard or life has become too serious – go have some fun.
Do what you need to do for you.
Be kind to you
Selfcare is about kindness too. If you feel you failed at something or you are not at your best then that’s okay – you are human. Learn to accept yourself, flaws an all. No one is perfect, you are doing your best right now and that’s enough! So be kind to you.

If you don’t take care of you how can you take care of others?
If you don’t take good care of yourself, how can you possibly take good care of others? You can’t give what you haven’t got can you. If you are worn out, tired, unwell or miserable because you haven’t been taking care of yourself, then how on earth are you going to be at your best? How can you look after others then? I know for some of us, this is hard.. took me a long time to figure this out, without the feeling of guilt. But it really is an important lesson to learn. I learnt the hard way. I became really unwell before I ” got it “. Now I know.

• Get some R&R
• Spend time in nature
• Read a book
• Have a salt or bubble bath
• Take a nap
• Listen to your favourite music
• Dance like no ones watching
• Say NO to things you don’t want to do
• Say YES to the things you do
• Go for a walk to somewhere you love
• Write in a journal
• Exersise
• Go have some fun
• Get creative
• Start a new hobby that you enjoy
• Spend time with your loved ones
• Have some quite time for yourself
• Sing like no ones listening
• Spend some time with your pets
• Bake a cake
• Meditate and get in touch with your soul- find out what needs healing in you
• Do whatever you need to do at the time.
” Fill your heart with so much love that it pours out, then share it with others”

Absolutely agree that self care is important. It is ideal to take the time to do some of the great tips mentioned. Like exercising and taking a nap has worked wonders and even doing some creative.
