Natural detoxification ways to help the body

Natural detoxification basically means to cleanse the body.
So after all the over indulgence during Christmas time, we may be left feeling a bit ( or a lot ) meh!
Too much food, too much sugar, processed food, alcohol…etc…. can leave you feeling sluggish, tired or just plain gross haha..
Signs that you need a detox
- Sugar cravings and food cravings for junk food
- Constipation
- Gas
- Bloating
- Fatigue/low energy
- Headaches
- Nausea
- Belly fat ( hard to shift )
- Irritability
- Skin problems
- Aches & pains
- Bad breath
So why not give your body a good cleanse to rejuvenate – like a spring clean!
Start the new year fresh and full of energy
I’ve put together in this post some ideas for you to try, if it feels right for you.

I’m not much of a believer in fad diets, I believe in eating real foods NOT processed food aka junk food! to help you stay healthy.
Also because we are all unique, sometimes certain foods don’t agree with us – we can have allergies and intolerances to certain food. Stay away from these foods.
The more organic foods you can eat, the better. Organic foods are natural and grown without all the harmful chemicals like pesticides and the less processed the better too as then foods contain less preservatives, artificial colours and flavours. Less GMOs because all these chemicals can cause havoc with our hormonal balance and health generally.
So try and eat as organic and fresh as you are able.
Organic foods have a higher content of nutrients than other foods.
Some people get some symptoms
Certain people may get some symptoms when they start to detox but don’t worry they’re only minor and don’t last too long. Some may get flu-like symptoms, upset stomach or skin break-outs. It’s just your body re-adjusting and you’ll be feeling better in no time.
Water
Drink plenty of filtered or spring water daily to flush out any toxins and to stay well hydrated.
Exercise
Keep active and exercise often to stay fit and to keep everything in your body functions moving and flowing, to help quicken the natural detoxification process. Even going for a walk helps.
My motto is quite simple – eat REAL food NOT processed food. Drink lots of water and stay active. Self-care all the way… Do what you enjoy and be happy!

Great tips! I’m really working on drinking more water and creating a balanced food intake plan this year. Little mix of protein, veggies, fruit, and carbs.
